Work recommenced at the Forster Civic Precinct… better known as Solaris in the heart of Forster on Thursday 18th December.
Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie visited the site and spoke with Solaris Developments Coyne Graham, who confirmed the works were well underway for completion of the civic space by December 2021 and the residential living tower for September of 2022.
The project experienced some delays in 2020 with the Solaris team pausing construction after a worker on the project tested positive to covid 19 virus. The Solaris team sought to avert bringing greater risk to the Forster community, particularly with some staff coming out of Sydney (A hotspot at the time).
Mr Graham said “Council’s patience has provided clarity to find the best solution to ensure the continued viability of the project and to ensure that all key elements to it, Civic space, residential space, retail space and retirement space are completed”.
